On your behalf, we work with her community to reshape their views of girls.
Change for girls begins with her community.
We start by working with communities to create a long-term vision. Then, we facilitate discussions on human rights and gender roles. When communities learn about human rights and critically think about gender roles, parents are more likely to support their daughters' educations.
This is followed by a series of seminars that give parents' tools to empower themselves and their daughters. These include substance abuse, HIV, water/sanitation/hygeine, saving, and parenting. At the same time, we provide facilitated discussions with girl and boy students. In addition to the topics above, we also discuss puberty and provide reusable sanitary pads to adolescent girls.
