How to add a URL to your Instagram!
Links aren’t active within Instagram posts, they can only be live when posted in your Instagram Profile. The steps to adding a link to your Instagram Profile are simple and outlined below. You can also view these steps via illustrations on a staff Instagram account by scrolling down to the bottom of the page!
STEP ONE: Tap open Instagram on your phone, then tap the small circle with your photo in it to get to your Profile Page. On most versions of Instagram, you should see this in the lowest right corner of your screen.
STEP TWO: Tap “Edit Profile”
STEP THREE: Tap “Website”. Yours might say “Link” instead; either one is the right place!
STEP FOUR: Type in the custom URL for our November 2022 GivingTuesday Campaign: give.forthegood.org/givetuesday
STEP FIVE: Click the blue “Done” button upper right.
STEP SIX: You should now see the URL “give.forthegood.org/givetuesday” in blue at the bottom of your brief Instagram bio. It’s a good idea to click the link to check that it’s activated and driving to the correct page!
