LESHUTA PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL

Leshuta already has a boarding secondary school but lacks any day high school capable of ensuring that children from the many poorer local families can also continue on to high school. We began meeting with the chiefs, headteachers, and community members of Leshuta in 2023 to discuss expansion of their existing school to include classrooms for day secondary students as well.

The leadership of Leshuta is strongly behind this expansion and began fundraising early in 2024. As of March, 2024, they have nearly completed the first classroom of their new school and will soon be starting construction on the second classroom using our matching funding.
