ESTHER KOILA: 2024-2026 TEAM ANGAZA

Esther is the latest intern for our longtime partner community of Mausa, which lies just above the Tanzanian border and was the first to partner with us to complete a day secondary school. Esther graduated from Loita High School before enrolling at the Kenya Institute for Management to pursue a higher diploma in Human Resources Management. She is the proud mom of two beloved girls, Nasiti and Harris.

Esther was motivated to become part of Team Angaza because she saw a huge gap in girls’ empowerment and skills in her region. “I joined Team Angaza with a vision to bring girls into conformity with the current trends in terms of livelihoods, skills development and future roles in society,” explains Esther. “I aim to help our local girls get fully equipped to face the harsh cultural issues around them. My hope is [to see] empowered girls, skillful, and free from cultural abuse.”
