We are dedicated to supporting our communities in the meaningful ways we can during this challenging time as well as leveraging this major global disruption to strengthen our efforts when we come out on the other side. What we can share at this moment is that the number of cases in Kenya is still quite small and our friends and communities remain safe. The government has adopted the prevention and management strategies proving successful in Asia, testing, tracing and quarantining those with positive cases. They've been highly proactive in closing down schools, bars, restaurant dining and public events and gatherings and recruiting additional health workers in preparation.
We’re hopeful that these measures will reduce the spread in Kenya and are heartened by the incredible resilience of the people we work with, who we learn from everyday. We are deeply grateful for the commitment of our supporters to ensure that Kenyan girls can go to - and stay in - school, and will continue to do our part to make sure they are supported during a time of heightened need.
