engaged with school lessons during the Covid-19 lock down.
Families in rural, remote regions of the world without access to clean water or health clinics are hit particularly hard by Covid. School closures also greatly increase existent vulnerabilities for girls. Families faced with increased uncertainty and livelihood insecurities feel pressure to marry off under-age daughters; pressures on girls to engage in transactional sex for necessities increase. Keeping the dream of education alive in this context requires ensuring that students remain connected to learning - and that families remain assured that education remains a viable alternative for their girls.
For the Good continues to work tirelessly to help our partner schools and students meet the challenge created by Covid-19 head on. We know we're also working on your behalf to create a better life for them and a better world for us all. We can't thank you enough for the support you continue to give to create a better world for hundreds of Kenyan girls.
